Overview
Tonry & Giraud, LLC respects your privacy. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use this website, how it may be used, and the choices available to you. It applies only to this website and not to third-party websites linked from it.
Information you choose to provide
If you call or email us, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact information, and the substance of your communication. Please do not send confidential, medical, or time-sensitive information through ordinary email. Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship; that relationship begins only through a written engagement agreement signed by the firm and client.
Case value guide
Answers entered into the case value guide are used in your browser to display a general educational result. The guide does not ask for your name or contact information, and we do not intentionally store or transmit your answers to Meta. The guide is not legal advice, does not predict a result, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and technology providers may automatically receive limited technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, and the date and time of a request. This information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
Meta Pixel and cookies
We use the Meta Pixel, a browser-based analytics and advertising tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Pixel currently records page views and when a visitor clicks the firm’s main telephone link. It does not intentionally send the contents of an email, case-value-guide answers, medical details, accident descriptions, or other information you type into the site.
Meta may use cookies or similar technologies and may combine website activity with information it already holds, subject to Meta’s own privacy terms and your Meta settings. You may limit this activity through your browser’s cookie or tracking controls, an ad-blocking tool, or Meta’s advertising preferences. Blocking these technologies should not prevent you from reading the website or calling the firm.
How information may be used
Information may be used to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
- understand general website traffic and advertising performance;
- respond when you contact the firm;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- protect the rights, safety, and property of the firm and others.
Disclosure and retention
We may disclose limited information to service providers that support website hosting, security, analytics, communications, or advertising; when required by law; or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights and safety. We do not sell personal information for money. Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, subject to legal, ethical, security, and recordkeeping obligations.
Security and third-party services
We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Links to third-party services are governed by those services’ own privacy policies. Their practices are outside our control.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
Your choices
You may adjust browser cookie settings, use tracking protection, or change your advertising preferences directly with Meta. You may also contact us to ask about personal information you previously provided directly to the firm, subject to applicable law and our legal and professional obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
